Learning Outcomes

In this chapter we will:

  • Identify some of the common errors made when citing sources and discuss ways to avoid them.
  • Discuss and demonstrate how best to use primary and secondary sources to support our claims.
  • Work toward developing an essay that uses a specific example to further a larger scholarly discourse.
  • Review the thesis and outline we created in Chapter 9 and decide which primary and secondary evidence we will be citing and when.
